Option Description Higher Footboard Adds a 7 in. matching footboard that is a lower version of the headboard. A $39 fee. Poplar Slats Upgrades from spruce to poplar hardwood slats. Price varies by size of bed. Double Slats 2 in. wide slats with 4 in. spaces between each slat is standard for laminated spruce slats. 2 in. wide slats with 2 3/4 in. spaces between each slat is standard for solid poplar slats. Some mattress manufacturers require a solid foundation with no spaces or gaps and choosing the "double poplar slats option" will meet those requirements in most cases. Price varies by size of bed. Extra Long Option Makes a standard length Twin or Full bed into an XL - 80 in. long bed. A $39 fee.
