Q. What is piping?
|
Q. What
is a Bolster Pillow?
|
|
A. Piping is
a corded trim that goes around the top and bottom panels of a futon cover.
Piping is considered a custom tailored option so be sure it is an option
you would like to have added as it is specially made for your cover and
would be nonreturnable.
|
A. Bolster
pillows are cylindrical shaped pillows thatare approximately 20" long
and 6-8" tall.

Q. How do I find
out what size of cover I'll need?
|
Q. I have a pretty
thick mattress, will your covers fit it?
|
|
A. The easiest
thing to do to determine what size of futon you have is to measure your
mattress. Take a measurement of the length of the mattress and the width
of the mattress. If it measures close to 80" x 60" its a Queen, if it
measures 75" x 54" its a Full, if it measures 75" x 39" its a Twin, 54"
x 54" its a Loveseat, and so on.
|
A. Our covers
are made to fit 6" to 8" thick futon mattresses. If your mattress exceeds
these dimensions, we can have a cover made with more depth to fit your
mattress. When ordering your cover, select the custom corner option by
letting us know how thick your cushion is. Be sure of the measurement
as custom tailored covers are specially made and are nonreturnable.

Q. When it says
sides and back in black, what does that mean?
|
Q. When it says
endcaps, sides and back in black, what does that mean?
|
| A.
Most futon covers are made with a top, side panels and a bottom. Sometimes
specific fabrics the manufacturer is working with can get quite expensive
when done all over in that fabric so they border it in another fabric to
help keep the price down for the customer. So your print will be on the
entire front part of the cover and the sides and backing of the cover will
be done in the fabric mentioned. |
A.
These futon covers are made with the front of the cover divided up into
thirds. On the outer two thirds will be the black color and in the middle
third will be the print. Sides and backing will also be in black. The reason
this is done is because specific fabrics the manufacturer is working with
can get quite expensive when done all over in that fabric so they border
it in another fabric to help keep the price down for the customer. Plus
it looks good. |
| Q.
What is the difference between loft and thickness? |
|
|
A. The thickness of
the futon mattress will affect what loft size is put on the cover. Loft
sizes are typically 2" less than the thickness of the mattress. This
ensures a proper fit and will fill out the cover. Examples: (10"
thick / 8" loft, 9" thick / 7" loft, 8" thick / 6"
loft and so on.)
